일본에서 인기 있는 장난감일 뿐만 아니라, 후모는 온라인에서도 인기가 있으며, 특히 Twitter나 4chan의 /jp/Otaku Culture 보드에서는 후모 소유자가 사진과 몽타주를 공유하는 것을 즐긴다.

The name "fumo-fumo" is derived from the Japanese onomatopoeia word "fumo-fumo-fumo" that indicates a soft touch.
It is a series of plush dolls of characters from Touhou Project Universe, manufactured by Japanese merchandise company Gift.
